2017: a Year of Celebration

When one considers all of the important events whose 100th birthday we celebrate in 2017, this will be quite an exceptional year. And the greatest of these events, the most important of these anniversaries, is without doubt the celebration of Our Lady’s Apparitions at Fatima, whose Message remains today as relevant as ever.

The Blessed Virgin warned us that if we did not obey God’s laws, great tribulations would fall upon mankind, amongst which Russia would spread its errors throughout the world through atheistic Communism. 2017 marks the 100th Anniversary of the Bolshevik Revolution in Russia (financed by Wall Street bankers) to establish a Communist dictatorship in that country, and turn it into a pilot project for what these financiers wish to establish worldwide, a one world government. 2017 also marks the 300th Anniversary of Freemasonry’s foundation, whose goal it is to destroy Christianity.

Louis Even, the founder of the Michael Journal, used to remind us that it was God’s Will that Social Credit should have been conceived by C.H. Douglas in 1917, on the same year as the Apparitions at Fatima. Indeed, while Mary’s Message brings a spiritual solution against Communism, Social Credit offers a temporal, a technical solution to put an end to Communism, by turning each citizen into a true capitalist, a co-owner of the earthly goods and of progress. Speaking of  the solution offered by Social Credit, Louis Even had exclaimed: “A light upon my path”, the same words are now spoken by those who take part in our Study Sessions in Rougemont, for they can see how well this solution would apply the social doctrine of the Church in economic matters. In Pope Francis’s own words: “God’s greatest enemy is money.”

It is important, more so now than ever before, to place ourselves under the protection of Jesus and Mary, to consecrate ourselves to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary. Poland has just made an exceptional gesture by officially recognizing Jesus as King of Poland, in a ceremony that was attended by all of the country’s religious and civil authorities. This Consecration to Christ the King will have extraordinary repercussions similar to those observed following the Consecration to the Immaculate Heart of Mary that was carried out by St. John Paul II, in 1984. A short time ago, Peru’s President did the same; he consecrated his country to the Sacred Hearts of Jesus and Mary.

Finally, notwithstanding all of the threats that hang over the world today, Mary made a promise at Fatima which fills us with hope: “In the end, My Immaculate Heart will triumph.” In fact, this is more than a promise; it is a statement, since we can be certain that Mary’s words will be fulfilled. During an interview on France’s Christian Radios, on January 6, 2017, Robert Cardinal Sarah, prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship, declared: «I believe that 2017 will be a better year than the one past, since it is a Marian year: This year, we will celebrate the 100th Anniversary of the Apparitions at Fatima. The Virgin visited us a hundred years ago because the world was in turmoil. The same could be said of today’s world... The only way this year (2017) can be better is if everyone of us improves his relation with God, and God will improve our relations between ourselves,» There you have it: a beautiful plan of action for the year 2017! Let us get to work!
