No to the dictatorship of the money-god

In almost all of his speeches, Pope Francis never misses an opportunity to denounce the dictatorship of the money-god. Why does the Holy Father insist so much on this? This is because money has become the god before which the present world bows down. Money, which should be a means, an instrument of service, has become a master, an end in itself, and we are all its slaves.

The Gospel of St. Matthew ( 6:24 ) reports these words of Jesus: “No one can serve two masters... God and money (mammon).” Saint Paul adds, in the first epistle to Timothy (6:10) that “the love of money is the root of all evil.” Money is not evil in itself if it is used as a means; but to make it an end (the love of money ) is wrong.

During his trip to Bolivia last July, Pope Francis gave a one-hour address to the popular movements that could be called a “mini-encyclical” on social justice . The Pope used words stronger than ever to denounce the money-god, going as far as to compare it to “the devil’s dung”:

“Let us say NO to an economy of exclusion and inequality, where money rules, rather than serves. That economy kills. That economy excludes.” (See pages 4 to 7.)

In an article entitled Why always blame High Finance?, Louis Even quoted these words of C. H. Douglas, at the conclusion of his book The Monopoly of Credit: “Perhaps the first point on which to be clear is that this immense, nay, almost omnipotent, power which is yielded by the financial organisation, and which therefore must in the nature of things be responsible for the situation in the world today, has not until recently been recognised in its true nature.” (See page 8.)

Pope Pius XI wrote in 1931 in his encyclical Quadragesimo Anno: “Those who control money and credit have become the masters of our lives, so that no one dare breathe against their will.”

It is a real dictatorship that financial powers have imposed on all peoples of the earth. We must educate the people to reverse this situation. This is what MICHAEL is trying to do, and it wins over new minds day after day. Even the Central Bank of England, in its bulletin released March 14, 2014, admits that commercial banks create money ex nihilo, out of nothing, and that it is they who dictate, ultimately, the monetary policies of nations. The regular readers of the MICHAEL know that by attacking the financial powers, authorities, one literally attacks an occult and satanic power. So the help of Heaven is needed in this battle, and one of the first weapons made available to us by God in this fight is the Rosary, a powerful weapon that the Blessed Virgin Mary recommended in all Her main apparitions throughout the world. (See pages 12-13.) One of the apparitions of Mary most recently approved by the local bishop was in the Philippines, stressing the consecration through Mary as taught by St. Louis de Montfort. (See pages 26 to 29.)

And in our prayers to Mary, it is entirely appropriate to ask for the establishment of a just financial system that does not exclude anyone, as proposed by Douglas’s Economic Democracy, or Social Credit. (See pages 9 to 11.)

The meaning of our life on earth comes down to a choice between God and Satan. This is what Pope Francis explained to the youth of Paraguay last July. (See page 14.)

Satan attacks the family and human life because he wants to destroy God’s creation. Canadian bishops have issued a statement against assisted suicide, and called for a public debate on the subject, following the judgment of the Supreme Court of Canada. (See page 15.) The same Canadian bishops, through their episcopal commission for justice and peace, issued a document entitled A Church Seeking Justice: The Challenge of Pope Francis to the Church in Canada, which summarizes the teaching of the Holy Father on social justice, including his strong denunciations of the “money-god and the dictatorship of the faceless economy”. (See pages 16 to 19.)

The family is attacked because the notions of traditional marriage, modesty and purity have been lost. (See pages 22 to 26.) Some “so-called experts” want to question the authority of parents and their role in the education of their children. (See page 30.)

Finally, Pope Francis asks for prayers for the success of the Synod on the Family in October, 2015 (see page 32), so do not forget to include these intentions in your prayers and Rosaries. I wish you interesting reading!
