A good Social Credit apostle, Mr. James Reidy, has passed away

The post office from Ireland has informed our MICHAEL office that Mr. James Reidy had recently passed away.

I had met Mr. Reidy several years ago when he had worked for the city of Chicago as a road maintenance man. At our first meeting, I remember that he had impressed me because he said he had been a Social Crediter for several years prior, even while still living in Ireland. After explaining our MICHAEL apostolate, I remember asking him if he had a place where he could accommodate me while I did apostolate work in the Chicago area. He immediately said yes.

That was the beginning of a friendship that lasted for over thirty-five years. Mr. Reidy lived in a little mini apartment that was one block from a city bus stop. How ideal it was: I had the entire Chicago area open to me to do the MICHAEL apostolate, connecting with the city transportation. I would leave in the morning with my case full of leaflets and magazines, and I would go to a part of Chicago which was basically Catholic and do the Rosary Crusade; knocking on doors, giving out leaflets, asking to pray in the families’ homes and for them to subscribe to our MICHAEL magazine.

At the end of the day, I would return to Mr. Reidy`s miniature apartment, all tired out, where he would be waiting for me, always with a smile on his face, for he knew that those who receive the apostle receive the merits of the apostle. So I would give him my report of the day – leaflets I distributed, subscriptions that I took, how many rosaries I said, etc. Then he would treat me to a beautiful meal to celebrate, and we would talk about what an honor and privilege it was to work with heaven for the salvation of souls and the importance of educating the people about the corrupt financial system. And I would explain to him that for every soul we would help to save, an additional star would be added to our crown in heaven for all eternity!

My time with Mr. Reidy was time well spent. He too became an active apostle of MICHAEL, distributing thousands of leaflets every year in the Chicago area and supporting the work with generous donations. Even though he had a very small apartment, one side of the living room wall always had bundles of MICHAEL leaflets stacked high right up to the ceiling.

When he retired and moved back to Ireland, he continued being an active apostle of the work, always trying to contact as many people as possible with our literature and supporting the work with generous donations. When the International Eucharistic Congress was held in Ireland in 2012, he helped to co-host the MICHAEL pilgrims who came there along with Miss Evelyn Ward, who was also from Ireland. When the Congress was over, Mr. Reidy and Miss Ward would drive us across Ireland to make contacts and hold kitchen meetings.

Honestly, I can say that I will miss my good friend who had remained loyal to the work of MICHAEL to the very end. What a beautiful crown he must now have in heaven for all eternity, for we know that nothing we do for the salvation of souls will go unrewarded!
