The late Mrs. Charles Maheu

Mrs. Charles Maheu (born Cécile Brunelle) of Penetanguishene, Ont., left us for Heaven on October 2, the feast of the Guardian Angels, at the age of 84.

The Brunelle family has been part of Movement since its beginning. Mrs. Maheu was part of our beautiful team of Pilgrims of St. Michael of Lafontaine and Penetang, the land of the Canadian Martyrs. From this French-speaking area of Ontario, our Pilgrims - including Mrs. Maheu - came in large numbers to our congresses and meetings, despite the large distances to cover. She was present at the local meeting of Lafontaine on September 19, held by Pierre Marchildon.

With untiring self-dedication, Mrs. Maheu visited families to solicit subscriptions to "Michael" and "Vers Demain", and she distributed plenty of leaflets. She always proudly wore her white beret. What a loyal and tenacious apostle she was! She has now received in Heaven the reward of those who thirst for justice.
