"The Nation depends very largely on the following sources for its information out of the Nation's Capital: Associated Press; United Press; International News Service; Mutual Radio Network; National Broadcasting Co.; Columbia Broadcasting Co., and television outlets.
"A Jewish organization known as the Anti-Defamation League, as well as another one known as the American Jewish Congress, maintain high-salaried, full-time representatives who concentrate on the individuals and the forces which control these sources of information. Occasionally, some alarming truth leaks out, but by large and far, it is well controlled by one of the following methods: smear or silence..."
This goes far in explaining the adverse press given to Senator McCarthy, not only in the United States, but in Canadian papers and in the European press as well — with but a few exceptions where people have seen through this concocted propaganda.

“Treacherous forces, which represent the hidden government, specialize in blackmailing Congressmen and other high Government officials who happen to be overtaken in a wide variety of inconsistencies and blunders.
"If women are involved, photos are taken. If some mistake in the handling of finance was made, photostats are assembled. If there is a skeleton in the family closet, all the details and facts are assembled and put into safekeeping.
“The scandalous revelations are held in reserve to make sure that certain men do not get out of hand.
“Not long ago, it was reported that a woman, living in one of the leading hotels in Washington, a hotel that specialized in procuring lewd women for certain members of Congress, – controlled 17 votes in Congress among men who dared not say 'No'. She sells this influence to special interests and powerful manipulators for a price.
"The Zionist machine, the American Jewish Committee, the Anti-Defamation League and a score of blackmailing outfits specialize in this type of filthy practice, designed to destroy the people's representation in Washington...

“One Senator told me that the World Zionist organization, of which the American Zionist organization is a part, sets aside large sums running as high as $75 millions for the corruption and control of public officials who are thus made favorable to the Jew-Zionist scheme for world power.
"Inasmuch as the moulders of public opinion who control the press, radio and television never mention this issue, the great bulk of Christian Americans are ignorant concerning this dreadful scheme.
"Here's where the money comes from. Here's where the power originates. Here's where the conspiracy exercises itself. This political machine with unlimited funds has bribed Congressmen, preachers, educators, journalists and commentators... The Senate is afraid of this Zionist machine. The House of Representatives is afraid of this Zionist machine. The President of the United States is manipulated by this Zionist machine. It rules America...

"European chiselers and other foreigners, sent for the purpose, never fail to overlook the society angle. They play upon the inferiority complexes of American "climbers" who become easy prey when they hear a continental accent or get invited to the palatial home of some extrovert who specializes in extravagant drunken orgies...
“In many of these big parties, which come under the heading of 'high society', it is not uncommon to spend $50,000.00 for liquors, wines and champagnes.
"This kind of money is never laid out just for the fun of spending it. Somebody, some place, always has an angle. Supreme Court decisions are involved, or it may be a vote in the United States Senate, or how many billions are to be spent on foreign countries. Whatever the case may be, liquor, vanity, flattery, play a big part in the decisions which affect the American people.
"Frequently, a Congressman or a Senator staggers out of one of these drinking affairs and is eased into a car with a wrong woman. Later, pictures are taken, and the foundation for blackmail has been laid...
"There are many members of both Houses of Congress, and many, many people in Government departments, who have not bowed their knee to Baal'. They cannot be corrupted, they cannot be intimidated, and they love their self-respect and character more than anything that the corrupters offer. Sad to say, this remnant represents only a segment. It does not represent a majority.”

This picture is taken in Washington. We ignore to what degree it might apply to Ottawa,, and we have no desire to find out. But we know that decisions taken in Washington, both in politics and economics, have much to bear on decisions taken in Ottawa. We are told often enough that international considerations must prevail over home considerations in taking decisions which affect our daily life. And it may be well to have a glimpse at those who dominate politics in Washington, and how they play their game.
