The battle for life

Many of those who worked for the abortion industry in the past are now promoting the culture of life. The majority of those who work in Planned Parenthood clinics never see an ultrasound or video display to show them what is really happening during an abortion. Dear reader, these people whom you are about to meet, saw for themselves what really happens during an abortion for the first time, and it changed their lives. The women who go to these clinics for an abortion are never given the opportunity to see their unborn child.
These remarkable people are working tirelessly to battle this great evil; they are working to protect and defend human life at its most vulnerable stage. Abortion is a demonic ideology being enforced by Planned Parenthood on a enormous scale in the United States and around the world.
The Jaffe Memo
Where does this ideology come from?
An illuminating fact has become public, thanks to the efforts of pro-life activist, Abby Johnson, who used to be a director of a Planned Parenthood facility. She revealed an infamous document called the Jaffe Memo; a document that demonstrates Planned Parenthood's eugenicist radicalism. It shows that the true ideology behind the world's most powerful abortion provider is quite simply, to reduce the population.
What is in this document?
It promotes forced abortion and sterilization, a "stock certificate permit" in order to have a child, penalizing couples who wish to become parents, and promoting homosexuality as an alternative lifestyle. (See Jaffe Memo on page 5).
Abby Johnson worked for eight years in a Planned Parenthood facility in Bryant, Texas. She left a few years ago when she viewed an ultrasound showing a 13 week old baby fighting for his life inside his mother, shortly before being ripped apart by the abortionist. Shocked, she left Planned Parenthood to become a pro-life activist.
The organization has since tried to force her to be silent by putting out a gag order (an order restricting information or comment from being made public). But Abby says, "It is time to fight back, I do not want to live in a communist country. That, of course, would be no problem for Planned Parenthood.... They would end up on top in a communist regime."
She tells us that: "This [Jaffe] memo was put out just over 50 years after the first Planned Parenthood clinic was opened. We are now a little over 40 years out from the publication of this memo. Look what has happened in those 90 years. Abortion has been made legal and continued to increase. Planned Parenthood is a non-profit giant in this country (and others)… just last year they grossed 1 billion dollars in revenue. They are pushing for no restrictions on birth control and abortion. And guess who is right alongside them leading the charge? Our Commander in Chief, Barack Obama.
"Don't be naive. This memo is still Planned Parenthood's ultimate desire. Abortion and contraceptives on demand… that is their goal. They will do anything to make it happen… including coercion, breaking the law, underhanded deals, and dirty politics."
The Jaffe memo was written to Population Council President Bernard Berelson by Frederick S. Jaffe, vice president of Planned Parenthood. Johnson elaborates that in 1969, the US federal government asked Planned Parenthood to give them insight on how to control the size of the population. The Jaffe Memo was the result of their investigation, and it is (not surprisingly) completely in line with the ideologies promoted by Planned Parenthood's founder, Margaret Sanger. Live Action
Now, we will give our readers an idea of what all these people are doing to eliminate this threat to the future of mankind, that is, Planned Parenthood. Their work is truly inspiring and should give us a motivation to also battle for the innocents of our society who are being slaughtered in the one place where they should be the safest, in their mother's womb.
Lila Rose founded Live Action with her friends at age fifteen. Her group uses modern means to educate and mobilize our society, demanding accountability from the abortion industry and human rights for the unborn. Lila and her group continue today to lead numerous undercover sting operations, recording real-time video that exposes the corruption and illegal activities of Planned Parenthood.
The arrangements of their undercover stings are diverse and include such scenarios as Lila Rose acting the part of a minor impregnated by a 23 year old man. While using this persona, staff at Planned Parenthood clinics advised her to lie about her age and ignored her "partner's" age in order to obtain an abortion.
Numerous employees of Planned Parenthood have been fired because of Live Actions efforts, and the organization has threatened many times to sue them for their exposure of the company's cover-up procedures. However, it is difficult to deny live videos that show what is actually taking place in these facilities. But Planned Parenthood continues to cover up their complicity in the culture of death and to receive billions of dollars in taxpayer money.
In an interview, Live Action stated that it has released, "six videos revealing Planned Parenthood's willingness to aid and abet the sex trafficking of underage girls. Since the beginning of our release, Planned Parenthood has attacked our organization and attempted to discredit the growing evidence of institutional and rampant abuse cover-up."
Live Action has their own magazine, The Advocate, in which they work to educate the people regarding the truth about Planned Parenthood. They reveal information about lies told to "help" patients decide to have an abortion. For example, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, "Planned Parenthood staff distorted basic facts of fetal development and pressured a woman to have an abortion," reports Live Action. "In the video, a staffer tells a woman who is reportedly 6 to 8 weeks pregnant that at this stage her baby has'no arms, no legs, no heart no head, no brain.'The staffer emphasizes the difficulties of adoption, urges the woman to obtain an abortion as soon as possible, says that images of abortion are fabricated, and states that the unborn child at 6 to 8 weeks has no'identifiable parts'and is just'fetal matter.'"
Fifty million abortions were performed since 1973 in the USA, and each year over 1 million babies are murdered in the womb. In 2008, 1.21 million abortions were done; that is about 3,322 abortions per day. (Statistics from the Guttmacher Institute)
Post abortion testimony
Young girls are coerced by Planned Parenthood into abortions that often ruin their lives. Here is just one of the many horror stories than demonstrate the "help" that Planned Parenthood gives to women.
Jewels Green was a drug-addict who found out she was pregnant at a very young age, "My first baby would be 22 this week. I was a 17 year old drug-using high school drop-out, but when the lady wearing scrubs told me I was pregnant, I already thought of myself as a new mother. Everyone wanted me to get an abortion except me.
"I actually stopped using drugs, went to the library and checked out a book called Under 18 and Pregnant and started to read it to prepare. I scheduled my first prenatal check-up. My boyfriend was relentless. I am deliberately omitting the details of the violence, both real and threatened, but I finally caved in to my boyfriend's insistence to not have our baby. On January 4, 1989, he took me to the abortion clinic, but I literally ran out in the hope of saving my baby. Two days later, on January 6, 1989, at 9 1/2 weeks gestation, I had an abortion. It nearly killed me. No, not the surgical procedure, the psychological aftermath. I attempted suicide three times after my abortion and finally ended up in an adolescent psychiatric ward of a community hospital for a month to recover."
Jewels worked at an abortion clinic for four years after her abortion before finally realizing that what she was doing was horribly wrong. She was told by her clinic director that, "what we do here is end a life. Pure and simple. There is no disputing this fact. You need to be OK with this to work here." Shortly after this, she quit Planned Parenthood and became a staunch pro-life supporter and advocate. She has been married for eight years now and is the mother of three young children.
Rachel's Vineyard retreats
Theresa Karminski Burke, an author and psychotherapist from Pennsylvania, USA, founded Rachel's Vineyard as a Catholic-based non-profit foundation in 1997. Its roots, she says, go back to when she was an intern. She noticed many conflicted emotions regarding abortion in the women that she was working with that were part of an eating-disorder support group. She started her first support group for women who had abortions in 1986, and since then has helped countless women to realize why they are experiencing such severe inner torment and to seek healing with God's help.
When Burke came to speak at a conference for Catholic women, she said that the retreats are not organized with the view of making the women guilty. "Those who come to us are already hurting. We're trying to bring them healing." Rachel's Vineyard is inter-denominational. "Many of the women who seek the healing of a Rachel's Vineyard Retreat," she says, "are women who do feel there has been a great loss but who have been encouraged by friends and by the prevailing culture to bury those feelings – thus allowing the problem to fester." The name "Rachel's Vineyard" comes from the passage in the Book of Jeremiah, "Rachel mourns for her children and she refuses to be consoled because her children are no more."
Several Sources Shelter
Several Sources Shelter has specialized in giving housing and counseling to pregnant women since 1981. The founder is Kathy DeFiore, and they have helped over 20,000 women. They are affiliated with over 600 shelters all over the United States, so they have the possibility to give free housing to expectant mothers and their children.
Over 200 pregnant women call their National Hotline every month asking for help. The shelters are all listed in their website. (See end of article)
Feminists for Life
Feminists for Life (FFL) work to educate women, especially on college campuses, "on what it is to be truly a woman, especially in relation to the promotion of abortion by our society."
When Feminists for Life President Serrin Foster began lecturing on college campuses, she soon realized that few had ever seen a pregnant student but most knew someone who had been pregnant. Where had all the pregnant students gone? To an abortion clinic!
The 1996 Gallup poll revealed the "revolutionary impact" that women's attendance at four-year colleges was having on their attitudes toward abortion. "According to the poll, 47% of women were pro-life going into college. By the time they completed two years of college, 59% were pro-choice. By the time the women graduated, 73% were pro-choice. In Catholic colleges, a 45% pro-abortion freshman class became a 57% pro-abortion graduating class, a 12% increase. Colleges and universities are machines churning out pro-abortion voters. The anguished story of a former FFL board member who found herself contemplating abortion when she became pregnant while a grad student, brought some harsh realities to light. Foster couldn't stop thinking about what she had said: "Without housing, day care, and maternity coverage, it didn't seem like much of a choice."
Planned Parenthood called FFL's College Outreach Program the "newest and most challenging concept in anti-choice organizing" and predicted it could "have a profound impact" on college campuses "as well as (on) Planned Parenthood's public education and advocacy efforts."
The spiritual battle of good and evil
Those who work to establish the culture of life continue to struggle for the eradication of evil waged by abortion organizations such as Planned Parenthood. These people are working to impose a death sentence on innocent children, who are not being given the most basic right due to any human being born in the image of God: that of the right to life. The original purpose for these organizations is very important to know. We must recognize the facts that have been brought before us and realize that Planned Parenthood was not founded to help the people but simply to accomplish an agenda.
We should know that with each abortion performed, a demon is released from hell. This was said in many different testimonies, one of the more recent was done by Dr. Gloria Polo. (See her testimony, Struck by Lightning, on our book list).
One exorcist said that if we could see the sky, it would be black with demons that have been let loose from hell due to the sin of abortion. But through the Mercy of God any sin can be forgiven, and through His saving grace given to us in the sacraments (notably in the sacrament of Confession), we may find the forgiveness and peace that all men long for. The groups we have mentioned in this article are among the many that are ready to help those caught in the web of today's culture of death.
